Approximately 80 volunteers and 5 directors work at the Clinic to provide legal information over the phone.

The Legal Information Clinic at McGill offers free, bilingual service for McGill University students and members of the Montreal community. The LICM is the largest student-run bilingual legal information clinic in Canada! Approximately 80 volunteers and 5 directors work at the Clinic to provide legal information over the phone. Please fill out the intake form below, and a caseworker will call you in 2 – 3 business days to take on your case.

Areas of law
The LICM can answer questions in almost all areas of Québec law, although we do NOT take cases involving criminal law, tax law, and construction. We can however refer you to other services that may better serve your needs. Please consult the Community Resources and Referrals section of our website for a list of these organizations.
Landlord Problems
